“I’ve done a lot of personal work with emotions and attachment in my relationships, but clear and concrete guidance around sex was missing. Laura’s coaching is the missing piece.”

Hi, I’m Laura

I'm a Certified Holistic Sex Educator with a Master's Degree from Brown University. I'm also a Certified Trauma Professional, award-winning health writer, Pleasure Empowerment Coach, and TEDx speaker.

I'm the author of THE PLEASURE PLAN, a bestselling memoir about my own journey.

After three decades desperately searching for love, I met and married the man of my dreams. Everything was perfect except...I had every bedroom issue you can image, associated with past trauma. To save my marriage—and claim my right to pleasure for the first time in my life—I went on a sexual healing odyssey, studying everything there was to know about trauma recovery, female sexuality, and relationship health.

I cured myself this way. Then, I became certified to help others.

Using a gentle, empowering coaching model, I help women and their partners, find the pleasure, intimacy, and aliveness they deserve.

I’ve helped thousands of people claim and reclaim sexual vitality—through my book, articles, media appearances, and through coaching.

I’d love to help you too!

PRAISE FROM  COACHING CLIENTS

Laura's course was a beautiful and timely revelation for me. I have experienced pelvic pain with intercourse for decades and done quite a lot of psycho-emotional therapy to deal with sexual trauma at a young age. Laura gave me step by step guidance, education and tools to redefine and reignite my relationship with my sensuality and and sexuality. Thank you, Laura!

Sabine

I had all the puzzle pieces before, but became more conscious about where I need to put my energy at this juncture. Thank you Laura for nudging me with kindness and an open heart.

Katherine

Laura provided a safe and lively space where I was able to focus on personal blocks to my intimate relationships. Having body shame was not a surprise but I discovered trauma and anger behind my issue. This was an eye opener. We came up with a plan to address my blocks. I highly recommend working with Laura

Not sure if this is right for you?

  • What's the difference between your coaching and sex therapy?
I'm a coach and not a psychotherapist. While therapy delves into past experiences, exploring reasons for behaviors and feelings, coaching is focused much more on setting goals and removing obstacles. There are many reasons why someone might choose a coach instead of a sex therapist. They might already have a therapist, and not keen on having another. They might want to augment current therapy with more detailed sex information (most therapists don't have extensive knowledge of human sexuality). A person might want something short-term, focused on specific solutions. Finally, some of my clients find hope knowing that I solved my own sex problems practicing what I preach. If you're not sure if coaching or sex therapy is right for you, I suggest you set up a free Discovery Call so we can discuss it!
  • What does coaching involve?
Coaching is done virtually, so you may feel safe in a space of your choosing. During a session, we will chat about what's been going on as well as your goals going forward and obstacles you're facing. We'll end each session talking about solutions you might try. I'll also put session notes in a private Google folder, so you'll have them to refer to, and we can track your progress together!
  • I have a history of trauma. Is it OK for me to work with you?
For the past 2 decades, I've worked with scores of trauma survivors, and I am one myself. It's important to know that my course will not delve into your past trauma. You will not be sharing details of traumatic events, or anything you wish to keep private. Many of my clients/students are survivors. That said, you really do need to feel ready to move forward sexually. Feeling ready often happens after someone has already done significant emotional and psychological healing. If you're not sure, please schedule a 30 min. call with me by emailing
  • Will you ask me to take my clothes off?
Absolutely not! As Certified Holistic Sex Educator, I am bound by a strict code of ethics that forbids sexual exchanges with clients. Though we will talk about your sex experiences, we will do so in a respectful, educational way. Also, you will always be in charge of how much, or how little, you wish to share.
  • My situation is really complicated. How do I know your coaching will work for me?
We are all complicated in our own way, but I know what you mean! I felt that way too about my own life and the many obstacles I faced before I began my sexual healing. Here's what's important to know: the framework I provide helps you identify a goal, identify obstacle(s), and successfully navigate these obstacles for a lifetime of sensual development. Many times obstacles masquerade as hopeless complications, but they are really challenges that can be broken down and overcome! In this course, you'll also assert your new sexual self through communication skills and sustainable, sexy habits. If you feel that you might benefit from this kind of coaching model, then don't worry about complications! That said, if you are having trouble implementing the strategies I teach—because of past history, for instance—then, by all means, take advantage of my money-back guarantee (up to 14 days I'll give a refund if you haven't redeemed a private session). I can also help you find a sex therapist, who might be a better fit.
  • Can I do coaching if I'm not in a relationship?
Absolutely! Approximately half the people I work with begin our journey while not in relationship. Coaching is designed for you to connect more fully, and authentically, with your own desire, pleasure, and sensual potential. Whether or not you're in a relationship, you will begin your journey there. Depending on your situation, you might also explore techniques to use with partners. You can experiment with these techniques if you're dating, or store this knowledge for future erotic adventures. If you're already in a relationship and would like to involve your partner, I also work with couples!
  • What if I'm a hopeless case?
I hear you! I felt that way too about my own life and obstacles before I began my sexual healing. Here's what's important to know: the framework and tools I provide help you better understand sexual desire and pleasure. They also inspire you to redesign sex so that it authentically excites you. Too many times people think they have low libido when they just don't know that the way they feel is normal, and also that there are ways to customize erotic experiences so that they are truly exciting.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?

  • Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?

Working with Laura, my world opened up. I was so convinced I was broken. But, it turns out, I’m not. Thank you, Laura! I have hope now. And a new boyfriend.

Lisa M.

I suffered from vaginismus, and even worked with a physical therapist, but I didn’t know how to find pleasure for myself. Laura helped me tremendously through her coaching. I am very grateful to have a great sex life now!
